Industries of Light

What to Expect

Networking with Heart

A gathering ground for artists, creators, spiritual led businesses and change-making organisations whose work is informed by the ‘more than human’ world and a living embodied intelligence.

Times are changing. Our industries do not serve us anymore. This is the era of the industries of light.

❋ Intentional Structure

A space for cross fertilisation, inspiration and travelling together. An alternative to the dry, small talk networking events where disconnect is common.

❋ Collaborative Energy

Walking untrodden paths takes courage. We need alive circles where we can find companionship but also the clarity to come into greater definition of our work and its value.

❋ Facilitation

This event is held by three students of the School of Sufi Teaching who will be sharing their journeys of bringing new approaches to their industries informed by their spiritual practices.

❋ A Listening Space

A space for silence, listening, witnessing, sharing from the heart, and seeing what wants to initiate.

Plant connection will be a central opening, practice, plus Sufi meditation for those who wish to experience it

You are a sole practitioner, sacred artist or change-making organisation, doing work at the edge of your industry or artistic, healing field. You recognise that your work is evolving and that the confines of the industry that you are in, cannot hold the work that is coming through you anymore. You may be experiencing this;

·      as dissonance between the goals of a project and the infrastructure you are being asked to carry it out within,

·      or you want to bring more embodied, heart led intelligences to the academic, professional culture your work has sat within till now,

·      or you may simply be developing a new practice, pushing at the edges of your field and learnt techniques to allow something more genuine, and true to come.

What is clear is that the formats you are being asked to create within don’t fit and you are looking for a more experiential space to explore what is emerging.

Who this is for

This event aims to create a contemplative space to share and hear our journeys, the challenges, successes, aspirations - what feels most alive.  By engaging with the practice of plant connection we will broaden our perceptual capabilities and depth of listening to gain surprising clarity for the path forward - opening to new paradigms.

By meeting in this way we also open up collaborative possibilities that can strengthen and expand our own practices and creative path.

Leadership of our work can be a solitary practice and we have been conditioned into ways of working and producing that do not suit the nature of the work that is being called forth.

In a time of increased virtual and represented spaces Industries of Light offers an opportunity to connect in real time, in a sacred space with other embodied practitioners whose work is informed through their spiritual practice and is seated within an experiential framework to counter and ensure a right relationship with AI and technological space and engage more sincerely with our lived experience.

What we will be doing

Who we are

Joy Green

Joy Green is a heart-led systemic futurist, with strong experience in futures & foresight for system change, and personal deep Sufi practice. After 15 years of mainstream professional practice working with a variety of corporations, NGOs and activists, she reached its limits in 2021, realising that a deep transformation was now required to step up to the challenges and turbulence at hand. She began to integrate spiritual insight much more deeply and practically into her work, bringing the heart and head together in the professional realm, and finding ways to bring this integrated and experiential approach to other change-makers. Since 2021 Joy has practised working from non-separation and interbeing as a practical lived reality rather than a theoretical idea, and has created courses and workshops to ‘bridge’ into this approach for change-makers and organisations.

Nevine Nasser

Dr Nevine Nasser is an architect specialised in the creation of sacred space and the transformation of professional practice to a creative, spiritual approach. She was the architect responsible for building the Zawiya whilst, at the same time, writing a doctoral thesis, ‘Beyond the Veil of Form’, as a reflection on the process. Nevine will be sharing her experience of how her practice transformed from a conventional approach to one that integrated her creative and spiritual practices, leading to a new way of doing architecture that reflects the order of nature and the cosmos, as embodied by the design of the Zawiya.

Sarah Gray

Sarah Gray is a plant mentor, coach and space holder. Her work sits at the intersection of mysticism, healing and creative and business practice. She has developed a way of working, informed by the practice of dance improvisation, Sufi meditation and plant connection, that hones attention and perceptual capacities so people and organisations can come into deeper integrity with the innate power, nature and value of their truest work. Sarah works with money as a healing tool to access limiting shadow material. She draws on the archetype of the wealthy herbalist to counter the wounded healer towards an evolutionary path of vocational mastery, financial creativity and full expression as a healing path. Sarah will be leading a plant meeting during the event and holding a space to encourage deep listening and meaningful connection.
